Ocean Independence is delighted to welcome Marcus Krall to the Dusseldorf office, where he will be leading new business development, PR and marketing within key German-speaking countries, including Germany, Switzerland and Austria. With his background as a journalist in the luxury yachting industry, Marcus has previously worked on some of Europe’s most prestigious nautical titles. As Editor-in-Chief for Boote Exclusiv, he was involved in the development of a team for their English counterpart publication, Boat Exclusive. Toby Maclaurin, Sales and Marketing Director for Ocean Independence, says: “Recent wealth reports clearly show continued importance of the Central European market, where Ocean Independence has always been strong, and we see good potential for further growth with Marcus’s appointment being a key part of this strategy”. Having fostered relationships with shipyards around the world and having spent time on board many superyachts, Marcus has formed a deep understanding and connection with the yachting industry. Adding to his credentials, Marcus has been a jury member of the Monaco Yacht Show, the Finest Interior and the Seamaster awards. With established contacts across the German media and PR landscape, Marcus will play a central role in helping to increase brand awareness of Ocean Independence in these important markets.
