Captain Patricia Caswell, Gulf Craft’s Quality Control Manager takes the helm of Gulf Craft’s Majesty 175 to explain its state-of-the-art features
Gulf Craft, one of the world’s premier shipbuilders, successfully launched Majesty 175, the world’s largest composite production superyacht, which is scheduled to be delivered to her owner over the summer of 2021.
Pushing the boundaries of design and engineering, Majesty 175 was fully manufactured at Gulf Craft’s integrated in-house production facility in Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates. Built to the specifications outlined by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for yachts over 500 GT, Majesty 175 is 178.4 ft (56.4 metres) long and has a beam of 31.6 ft (9.62 metres).
In one of the first series of ‘Inside Majesty 175’ videos, Captain Patricia Caswell, Gulf Craft’s Quality Control Manager, provides an overview of her truly majestic features. Captain Caswell explains her experience of Majesty 175’s successful sea trials, highlighting aspects such as the full ECDIS onboard monitoring and safety systems for uninterrupted operational excellence at all times, the effortless 360 degree turn the superyacht can navigate, and more.
With its gross tonnage (GT) of 780, Majesty 175 can cruise even through low-draft areas, drawing just 2.05 metres of water, as she is built using advanced composite materials such as carbon fibre and vinyl ester. The high gross tonnage also means Majesty 175 meets stricter safety standards than typical sub-500-gross-tonne vessels.
Majesty 175’s exterior and interior design are by the award-winning Cristiano Gatto Design Studio of Italy. The naval architecture is by Massimo Gregori of the Yankee Delta Studio. Her stand-out features include a 5-metre infinity pool at the forward deck and a hybrid sky-lounge that can be converted to an open sun deck. The pool has a swim-jet system that creates a constant current of water.
The smart layout accommodates seven lavish staterooms and a crew of up to 10 members with six large crew cabins and a private captain accommodation. The spacious design of the decks, the immaculate attention to every finish and fixture- including the use of global brands – make Majesty 175 a truly opulent vessel for a luxury lifestyle.
Utilising advanced technology, powerful engineering, timeless design, and world-class craftsmanship, Gulf Craft operates two manufacturing facilities – the 462,000 sq ft facility in Umm Al Quwain and a 100,000-square-foot facility in the Maldives as well as a service centre in Ajman.
Founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1982, Gulf Craft has three facilities in the UAE and the Maldives and has a manufacturing capacity of 200 boats per year. The company has built more than 10,000 boats already, serving clients around the world.
