OF THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL

In two weeks, the Vieux Port and Port Canto will host the 2022 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival. This year, professionals and enthusiasts can discover almost 650 boats recently released by the most prestigious French and international shipyards. The gates to the Festival will open for 6 days on Tuesday 6 September. The most beautiful jewels of the seas, the latest nautical equipment, and the highest-end services will be displayed for everyone to enjoy.

“With two weeks to go until the Festival opens, we can’t wait to see our visitors and exhibitors. The Festival build started on 8 August. Everything is going well, the pontoons and tents are being set up to accommodate the boats and stands. There’s another intense two weeks left for the teams with a lot still left to do. I would like to thank our partners, the city of Cannes, the Palais des Festivals, IGY Marina and our suppliers, Locaponton and Brelet/Gl Events who are working with us to put together a wonderful new edition”, says Sylvie Ernoult, Festival Director. The Cannes Yachting Festival has been an unmissable event for luxury yachting for more than 45 years, bringing together more than 55,000 visitors from around the world and more than 600 exhibitors every year. The Festival displays an eclectic offer with almost 600 boats; from the smallest to the largest, including sailing boats (more than 120 monohulls and multihulls), motor boats, monohulls and multihulls, new boats and large brokerage yachts of around fifty metres. The Cannes Yachting Festival brings together all the major players in yachting that come to exhibit nearly 140 new models in world previews. Visitors can therefore enjoy a Festival with a wealth of different things to see.

This year, the Festival will be organised into sectors by type of boat: motor boats and their equipment will be shown at the Vieux Port, whereas Port Canto will accommodate the sailing world. Regulars will find the Luxury Gallery, a sector dedicated to luxury and lifestyle at the Vieux Port, and the “Yacht Brokerage & Charter” area bringing together the biggest yachts and its “Toys” area for nautical toys on the other side of the Croisette, at Port Canto. As for the Green Route, it will feature the eco-efficient solutions exhibitors have developed to reduce the nautical industry’s environmental impact on the sea and marine ecosystems.
