Cecil Wright is delighted to welcome another pedigree Lürssen to their portfolio. Under a joint central agency, the 55m MOON SAND, delivered in 2021, is for now for sale, asking €65,000,000.

The stunning Bannenberg & Rowell Design yacht was conceived to be a private family retreat with the ability to cruise in secluded locations not easily accessible for larger yachts. The owner’s wish was for flexible functionality for family gatherings of all ages, reflected in her cleverly designed and adaptable guest cabins which can accommodate up to ten guests in five cabins as well as a crew of 15.

In their initial design concept, Bannenberg & Rowell Design were influenced by the classic Lürssen yacht CARINTHIA VI, which they also designed, however MOON SAND evolved into a yacht with her own unique identity with iconic lines whilst remaining faithful to her Lürssen and Bannenberg heritage.

MOON SAND presents in stunning condition almost as if she were a floating art gallery.

In the main salon, the designers wanted to dress the windows without using drapes, so they are bordered by glass frames over an ombré mesh – while sheer blinds lower when privacy is required.

Highlights of her world class contemporary interior design are bespoke one-off pieces of furniture by Silverlining, Frank Pollaro and Linley all exhibiting the craftmanship of high-end art but with comfort and functionality. The opulent fabrics and furnishings have accents of sky and teal blue against muted warm tones. A particular highlight is a magnificent, rare marble bathroom in the owner’s suite with bathtub chosen by the owner’s wife during a trip to Italy to select marble.

For her size MOON SAND offers numerous spaces for entertaining, leisure, exercise and relaxing. One of her most impressive features is her swimming pool. Located on the Main Deck aft, the pool can be raised and lowered as required, and for the active it has a counter-current system for exercise swimming. Also on the main deck is a U-shaped settee with a table, plenty of space for sun loungers, and can be shaded by awnings if needed. Inside, the main salon has two seating areas and a statement centrepiece custom dining table with a silver inlay and propeller edge by Frank Pollaro.

A second elegant but tranquil outdoor space can be found on the large sun deck which was re-configured and upgraded over Winter 2024 by AZURE Yacht Design to include forward shelter from the wind by high glass windbreaks for more comfort when relaxing at the L-shaped seating area. In addition to the existing sit up bar a new dining table was added, plus a new jacuzzi with seating one side and spacious new sun pads opposite.

On the Bridge Deck, there is a myriad of al fresco dining options including a large circular table with ‘Lazy Susan’ accommodating up to 12. On the same deck the Sky Lounge is configured as a games area, a seated area with coffee table, an office and a bar and nearby is a fully equipped gym.

For water sports enthusiasts there is ample space on board to house a full suite of toys. For tenders there is a beautiful Wajer 55S Chase Boat painted in matching livery not included in the sale which the owner could also be persuaded to include as part of the purchase if interest is shown.

MOON SAND motor yacht is equipped with stabilisers both at anchor and underway to ensure the utmost comfort for guests on board. She cruises at 13 knots and has a range of 5,000 nautical miles in low-emission mode. In addition, both generators will be zero hour’d this winter ready for this summer’s cruising.
