Cruising into Excellence: Yacht-Match’s Showcase at the Cannes Yachting Festival, Port Canto!

Within the Yacht-Match Group, Y-M Yachts & Brokerage stands out as one of its four branches, focusing on dealership and agency agreements with prominent European shipyards that align with the group’s core values: excellence and tailor-made solutions that cater to clients’ unique desires.

Heading the Yacht-Match team are Viktor van Savooyen and Dirk Agter. They will be stationed at Port Canto, showcasing award-winning vessels and offering exclusive previews of upcoming models to both clients and journalists.

One notable highlight is the collaboration with Italia Yachts through the Yacht-Match Squadra program. Last year, Yacht-Match solidified a dealership agreement with Italia Yachts, recently completing the sale of an IY 9.98 with delivery scheduled in Croatia. Furthermore, they’re providing support to a Swedish racing team navigating an IY 9.98 Fuoriserie. Dirk shared, “Croatia holds significant importance for us, and we’re setting up an Italia Yachts hub near Split to provide a seamless sailing experience for owners.”

Yacht-Match’s tailored ownership programs offer several benefits, including the Yacht-Match Squadra program, which provides enhanced support for owners aiming to excel in sailing regattas. Key features include a dedicated Race Team Manager for event logistics, crew coordination, and international racing event support, collaborating closely with Italia Yachts teams and the shipyard.

During the Cannes Yachting Festival, Italia Yachts will proudly display the IY 11.98 and the IY 12.98. The IY 11.98 Bellissima perfectly embodies the essence of a cruiser-racer, while the IY 12.98 Bellissima leans more towards cruising with a racing spirit, promising great sailing excitement.

Italia Yachts’ commitment to product improvement led to centralizing production at the new Fano yard. This move ensures rigorous quality control across all production phases, from hull lamination through infusion to final delivery.

Following the Cannes Yachting Festival, Dirk Agter will share insights at the Southampton Boat Show’s Foredeck stage, explaining the similarities between ORC and IRC handicap rulings, using the Italia Yachts 11.98, designed by Matteo Polli, as an illustrative example.

ITA Catamarans, featured at SAIL 019, will showcase the 15.49 model, distinguished by a prepreg carbon fiber bowsprit, a front beam, and a timeless cherry wood interior finish. An evolution of the 14.99, voted Multihull of the Year 2020 by Voile Magazine, this model boasts longer hulls, optional higher roofs for increased headroom, and larger side windows for abundant natural light.

François Pérus, co-founder of Yacht Design Collective, emphasized the focus on onboard comfort. The Italian shipyard’s values, renowned for semi-custom construction and high-quality craftsmanship, align seamlessly with Yacht-Match’s ethos, ensuring remarkable finishes and exceptional sailing capabilities.

ITA Catamarans’ 15.49 adheres to the highest construction standards, utilizing epoxy resin and carbon fiber reinforcements. Notably, its daggerboards offer superior performance compared to traditional fixed keels. This versatility enhances speed, reduces drag, and ensures safer navigation by allowing adjustments to match varying wind and water conditions—a boon for sailors exploring diverse locales.
