Hydro Tec, an internationally recognized leader in custom yacht design, marks its 30th anniversary this year. Founded in 1995 by Sergio Cutolo and Silvia Himsolt Cutolo — partners in both life and business — Hydro Tec has grown from a small independent studio into a structured, global organization.

Over the past three decades, the company has undergone three major transformations that define its identity today:

Organizational transformation: From a professional studio to a fully structured company with clear processes, mature governance, and three coordinated business units operating across the entire project lifecycle.
Design evolution: From an engineering consultancy to a fully integrated design firm, where technical expertise and creative thinking combine to deliver distinctive, tailor-made yachts.
Generational transition: The second generation of the founding family is now actively involved, ensuring continuity, long-term vision, and stability for the future.

Some of Hydro Tec’s most celebrated projects include M/Y Leudin I (Columbus 40M Sport Hybrid), recognized for its environmental credentials; M/Y Dragon, completed in record time; M/Y Aurelia, named Most Achieved Yacht; and M/Y Maverick, awarded Yacht of the Year and multiple international prizes. These achievements highlight Hydro Tec’s consistent innovation and excellence across a wide range of custom yachts.
