Lufthansa Technik Expands Partnership with Embraer on the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E
Lufthansa Technik has taken its long-standing collaboration with Embraer to the next level, becoming a core development and supply partner for the next generation of business aviation cabins on the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E.
The partnership marks a significant step forward in digital integration, cabin innovation and passenger experience within the super-midsize and midsize jet segments.

A New Benchmark in Business Jet Cabins
Building on previous successful programs such as the Phenom 100EX and Phenom 300E, Lufthansa Technik and Embraer have worked closely from early concept and industrial design through system architecture, engineering and production readiness.
The result is a cabin concept that blends advanced engineering with a refined, passenger-focused design approach — setting a new standard for future-ready business jet interiors.

The Industry-First 42” Curved Smart Window™
One of the headline innovations is the introduction of a first-of-its-kind 42-inch curved OLED touchscreen, seamlessly integrated into the sidewall.
Serving as the foundation for Embraer’s exclusive Smart Window™ technology, the system provides access to three external cameras, effectively transforming the display into a virtual window to the outside world. The screen is fully integrated with the aircraft’s Inflight Entertainment and Cabin Management System (IFE & CMS), allowing passengers to control lighting, air conditioning, connectivity, and wireless charging through a fully customized Embraer graphical user interface.
The immersive cabin experience is further enhanced by Lufthansa Technik’s Red Dot Design Award-winning Omni-Fi membrane speakers. Featuring licensed Ring-mode Converter/Transducer technology, the system delivers omnidirectional sound dispersion while maintaining a sleek, lightweight design that integrates seamlessly into the cabin architecture.
Digital Backbone for Future Operations
Beyond cabin comfort, Lufthansa Technik has introduced a new digital ground portal, acting as the backbone for future operations. The platform enables over-the-air software updates, remote configuration capabilities and scalable features designed to evolve alongside customer needs.
This level of digital integration reflects the increasing demand for smarter, more connected business aviation environments — where aircraft cabins are expected to function as fully integrated mobile offices and private lounges.
A Strategic Expansion of a Longstanding Partnership
“This program is a clear testament to Lufthansa Technik’s innovation strength and engineering expertise,” said Andrew Muirhead, Vice President OEM and Special Engineering Services at Lufthansa Technik. “We are proud to be a core development and supply partner for the next generation of business aviation cabins on the Embraer Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E.”
With this collaboration, Embraer and Lufthansa Technik reinforce their shared commitment to design-led innovation, operational efficiency and elevated passenger experience in business aviation.
As expectations in the private jet sector continue to rise, the Praetor 500E and Praetor 600E cabins represent a clear shift toward digitally enhanced, immersive and sustainable interiors — defining the next era of executive flight.
