HEESEN UNVEILS 50M PROJECT SOPHIA
March 2026
Heesen has officially launched Project Sophia, a striking 50-metre all-aluminium superyacht that redefines performance and versatility within the sub-500 GT segment.
Unveiled on March 14 at the shipyard’s facility in Oss, Sophia combines high-speed capability with an exceptionally shallow draft of just 2.15 metres—allowing access to some of the world’s most exclusive cruising grounds, including the Bahamas.

With a top speed of 23 knots and a transatlantic range of 3,100 nautical miles, this semi-displacement yacht is engineered for both performance and long-range exploration. Her refined hard-chine hull, developed by Heesen’s naval architects, delivers a remarkable 12% increase in efficiency—translating into reduced fuel consumption and enhanced onboard comfort.
Inside, Sophia offers 324 sqm of contemporary living space, complemented by 250 sqm of outdoor areas designed for relaxation and social life at sea. The interior features a sophisticated palette of sage green, warm bronze, and mustard accents, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding ocean.

The beach club has been conceived as a dynamic lifestyle hub, fully equipped for watersports and exploration, while the sundeck provides protected, elevated spaces for entertaining, even underway.
Finished in a refined Whisper Grey, Project Sophia embodies Heesen’s signature blend of Dutch engineering precision and modern luxury. The yacht is currently available for purchase, with delivery scheduled for June 2026—perfectly timed for the summer season.
