PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW: Leopard Catamarans unveils the next-generation Leopard 53 Powercat
March 2026

Leopard Catamarans has unveiled the refined Leopard 53 Powercat, an evolutionary update to its flagship motor yacht, redefining luxury cruising through elevated design, enhanced comfort and long-range efficiency.
Building on the success of its award-winning predecessor, with over 142 units delivered worldwide, the new 53PC introduces a series of ergonomic refinements, reimagined social spaces and advanced engineering solutions designed to enhance both onboard living and performance. Following its official launch in December 2025, the Leopard 53 Powercat made its first public appearance at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026, positioning itself as a versatile platform for both private ownership and charter programs such as The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program.

Elevated exterior living
A key focus of the redesign lies in the yacht’s expansive exterior areas, now offering a more versatile and immersive lifestyle experience at sea.
The aft cockpit has been completely rethought, introducing flexible living configurations with the option of a modular “Alfresco” layout or a more traditional fixed arrangement. This adaptability allows owners to tailor the space for both entertaining and relaxation.
The enhanced walk-through transom and optional electric lifting platform further strengthen the connection with the water, seamlessly transforming the aft deck into a generous beach area or tender platform.
On the flybridge, often considered the heart of the yacht, Leopard Catamarans has introduced a more spacious and refined layout. The redesigned helm station offers improved visibility and ergonomics, while the upgraded seating, premium materials and integrated wet bar with grill and refrigeration elevate the onboard social experience.

Interior flow and refined comfort
Inside, the Leopard 53 Powercat presents a modern and sophisticated living environment, designed around seamless circulation and comfort.
The saloon and galley benefit from a complete redesign, featuring upgraded finishes and a more open-plan configuration that naturally connects the different living areas.
Particular attention has been given to onboard comfort, with a dedicated and insulated engine room significantly reducing noise and vibration, creating a quieter and more serene cruising experience.
The yacht is available in three- or four-cabin configurations, including an owner’s version offering a full private suite with a large island bed and a spacious walk-in closet.

Performance and ownership versatility
The Leopard 53 Powercat retains its efficient hull design and twin Yanmar 370HP engines, delivering reliable performance with top speeds of up to 24 knots and an impressive cruising range.
Designed for flexibility, the yacht is available for private ownership or through The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program, offering owners the opportunity to combine personal use with charter revenue.
As Franck Bauguil, Senior Vice President of Yacht Ownership & Product Development for Leopard Catamarans and The Moorings, explains, the new model represents a natural evolution focused on enhancing the overall experience without compromising value.
With the Leopard 53 Powercat, Leopard Catamarans continues to set new standards in the power catamaran segment, combining innovation, practicality and a refined lifestyle at sea.
