AMER 42 EXPLORER

September 2026

Fresh from delivery, the new Amer 42 Explorer Even Further will make her international show debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The 42-metre explorer marks a significant new chapter for Amer Yachts as the shipyard’s first steel vessel and the founding model of its new custom steel production line.

First unveiled as a project at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2022, Even Further entered construction that same year at Permare’s facilities in Sanremo. Created for an experienced owner with a passion for long-distance cruising, the yacht combines genuine explorer capability with the elegance and lifestyle of a contemporary Mediterranean superyacht. Designed inside and out by Luiz de Basto, with naval architecture and engineering by Optima Design, Even Further features a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and Ice Class certification. Her distinctive profile incorporates a high bow, a wheelhouse offering 270-degree visibility and an impressive 17-metre flybridge, extending over more than 40 per cent of the yacht’s overall length. Expedition capability was central to the project. A dedicated foredeck area provides space for two eight-metre tenders and personal watercraft, handled by twin 8,000-kilogram cranes integrated into the superstructure. A touch-and-go helipad further enhances her long-range credentials. On board, Even Further accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins, with additional quarters for nine crew. Interior details have remained largely private ahead of her public debut. Efficiency is another defining feature. During initial sea trials, the yacht reportedly recorded fuel consumption of just 60 litres per hour at 9.5 knots in Eco Mode. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS40 pod drives connected to four D13 IMO III engines, she offers a reported range of 8,900 nautical miles from her 56,300-litre fuel capacity. The yacht cruises at 14 knots and reaches a top speed of 16.3 knots. According to the shipyard, the efficiency achieved during sea trials exceeded initial design projections, thanks to an optimised hull, lightweight aluminium superstructure and an integrated propulsion package developed with Volvo Penta. Beyond the figures, the project also reflects a highly experienced owner’s brief. Conceived for extended family cruising, Even Further had to combine autonomy, practical expedition capability and generous outdoor living without losing the refinement expected from a Mediterranean superyacht. This balance between endurance and lifestyle has shaped the yacht from the earliest design stages. For Amer Yachts, Even Further represents the culmination of decades of work focused on efficiency and reduced fuel consumption, while opening an entirely new chapter for the Italian builder. Steel construction, Ice Class certification and exceptional range give her the credentials of a serious explorer without sacrificing the refined character of an Italian luxury yacht.
