Lynx Yachts Begins Construction on the First YXT 34 Shadow Vessel

Dutch shipyard Lynx Yachts has reached a significant milestone with the official start of construction on Hull #1 of the YXT 34, marking the next chapter in the evolution of its successful Yacht Xtender series.

Following the finalisation of the vessel’s General Arrangement, the ceremonial first cut of steel officially launches the build phase at the shipyard’s facilities in the Netherlands. This moment represents the transition from concept to construction for what will become the largest model ever developed within the YXT range.

The construction of Hull #1 is more than a production milestone. It also reflects the growing reputation of Lynx Yachts in the highly specialised shadow vessel segment of the superyacht industry.

This contract symbolises our recognition as a premier builder of shadow vessels for the yachting industry,” explains Slim Bouricha, Founder of Lynx Yachts. “We were selected among competing shipyards for our quality and our ability to provide the owner with a design and specification that match exactly his requirements. The shipyard is going strong, and this build reflects our current momentum.

The YXT 34 project brings together a strong team of experienced designers and naval architects, combining the expertise of Lynx Yachts’ internal team with leading industry partners.

This collaboration ensures the YXT 34 will deliver both functional capability and refined design, meeting the demanding operational requirements expected of modern support vessels.

With steel now being shaped at the Dutch shipyard, the first YXT 34 is currently on track for delivery in the first quarter of 2028. As construction progresses, the project highlights Lynx Yachts’ continued expansion within the support vessel market, delivering versatile and robust platforms designed to accompany the world’s most advanced superyachts.
